Introduction

baspl++ is a visualisation system designed for processing large hybrid meshes originating from finite element and finite volume calculations. While specifically adapted for the B2000++/NSMB simulation environments, baspl++ is also capable of processing meshes originating from other systems. baspl++ has been designed to respond to criteria such as

  • Processing unstructured, structured, and hybrid multi-block meshes,

  • Supporting many models simultaneously,

  • Supporting popular visualisation methods,

  • As few as possible limitations inherent to the program,

  • Fast data processing and graphics while minimising resources,

  • Scripting language and graphical user interface based program control,
